How To Make Your Car “Back To School” Ready In 3 Ways

With school almost back in session, it’s only a matter of time when your vehicle will be clocking in more miles. It’s already racked up plenty of them during the summer. You may not have had time to get it inspected after all of that running around.

Now, it’s time to make sure that everything still looks good for back to school. Trinity Automotive is your auto repair service in White Bear Lake, MN that will inspect the vehicle with the help of our trusted ASE certified mechanics. If you need to make sure that all of your parts and under the hood are in working order, read on and make sure to schedule an appointment soon.

Here are some ways to make your car “back to school” ready”:

Check the oil regularly

Every two weeks, your oil will need to be checked. This is just to make sure it’s doing its job in lubricating the parts and keeping the engine nice and cool. It will also give you an indication of whether or not the oil needs to be changed or not.

If the oil is a bit dirty and gunky, then it would be time to change it. Oil changes should happen every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. If you and your family went on a cross-country road trip, now would be a good time to get an oil change.

Trinity Automotive offers oil changes near Stillwater, MN. Even if you need a standalone oil change, it won’t cost you an arm and a leg. We are happy to do it for you every single day that we are open.

Inspect the tires for any wear, low air pressure, etc.

Your tires are usually one of the parts that you’ll need to check often and for good reason. You may lose air pressure due to the dropping temperatures. Not to mention, bad tires equal bad fuel economy.

Make sure the tires are just above 32 PSI in air pressure (but no more than 35). Also, you’d be smart to get them rotated if it’s been more than 3,000 miles since the last one. If you need a tire rotation near North Oaks, MN, then don’t hesitate to stop by our shop or contact us for more information.

Replace windshield wipers and washer fluid

Every six months, your windshield wiper blades will need replacing to prevent poor visibility (and a scratched windshield). Also, it’s important to check the washer fluid levels as well. If you’re running low, fill it up so you have plenty.

This is a do it yourself job that doesn’t have to take a long time. But if you are in a rush and need your vehicle inspected, Trinity Automotive will make sure your blades and fluid are taken care of. While your vehicle is being serviced, you can use one of our pre-inspected loaners if you need to go places in and around town.

If you are at work, we’ll provide you with a free ride to and from the shop. Why settle for less when you have an auto shop that has your back? We treat you like family, not a number.
