What Should My Roadside Assistance Plan Include?

You never know when you will need roadside assistance, especially during the winter here in Minnesota. Few things are worse than getting stuck on the side of the road. It’s even scarier if your car breaks down in traffic and you cannot move it. Trinity Automotive offers roadside assistance plans to our customers to make sure that you are always safe, even if you get stuck on the side of the road. Here is what you should expect from any roadside assistance plan, including ours.

Flat Tire Assistance

Sure, you know how to change a tire, but what if you are on your way to work dressed in your best because you have an important meeting today? The last thing you want to do is get dirt all over you and your clothes. Other things that may prevent you from being able to change your tire yourself are young children in the car and the wrong tools in the trunk. You should be able to count on your roadside assistance to come and change your tire for you.

Fluid Assistance

You never know when you might end up overheating and need to add coolant or motor oil to your engine. You might run out of gas, and there’s no need to be embarrassed if this happens. It happens to all of us. Roadside assistance should be able to come to you quickly, assess your auto fluid loss, and replenish whatever fluids you need. It’s important to head straight to an auto service shop or gas station once you’re up and running again to get any problems fixed or to fill up.

Jumpstarts

Car batteries last about three or four years on average. After that, you may find yourself in a situation where you need to get a jumpstart to get your vehicle started. It’s easy in the winter to forget to turn off your headlights or unplug your accessories from the USB ports and unintentionally drain your battery. It’s cold! You want to get inside as soon as possible. You can count on roadside assistance to come and give you a jumpstart. If your battery is old, get it replaced right away.

Lock-Out Assistance

Most of us have locked ourselves out of our cars, as well. It’s harder to do these days with key fobs, but it still happens frequently, especially if you’re distracted by your toddlers or cell phone. Roadside assistance can get you into your car safely without causing damage to it. It’s better to let the professionals unlock your car than to try to do it yourself. You don’t want to cause damage to the door that affects the vehicle’s ability to lock in the future.

Towing

Finally, sometimes you’re stranded on the side of the road because you’ve been in an automobile accident or your vehicle has broken down completely. You need roadside assistance to give you a tow. Not only do we do this, but Trinity Automotive has two shops in Minnesota, and we can tow you to the closest one. Call our auto repair shop in White Bear Lake if you live there, or our auto repair shop in Blaine, MN, if it’s closer for roadside assistance and automotive service and repairs.
